Ratings and Rankings for Stocks & ETFs
Our quantitative methodology is used to generate Buy/Hold Sell signals for both stocks and ETFs. We also provide a variety of top-ranked stock lists in numerous categories.
Stock Ratings Reports
Stock Ratings Reports provide your customers with unbiased, independent research on more than 5,000 U.S. listed stocks and ADRs and 1,500 Canadian-listed stocks. The reports use a proprietary, interpretive text generator to translate our quantitative rankings into qualitative, easy-to-read analyses of individual stocks. Our system assesses the stock's heightened probability of short-term upside or downside action, based on its scores and ranks, and assigns a rating of Strong Buy, Buy, Hold, Sell, or Strong Sell. Each report shows how the subject company stacks up against the market, its industry group, and a selection of its peers. Stock Ratings Reports are published weekly and can be delivered to your website via FTP in xml or pdf format.
ETF Ratings Reports
Similar in format to the Stock Ratings Reports, our ETF Ratings Reports cover more than 400 equity ETFs, using a bottom-up approach. We score and rank each ETF's underlying stocks and use an interpretive text generator, similar to the one used for stocks, to translate the scores into a qualitative, easy-to-read analysis of the ETF. Based on the underlying stocks, the system assesses the heightened probability of short-term upside or downside action and assigns a rating from a 5-level rating system of Most Attractive to Least Attractive. The report also analyzes the risk level of the ETF. ETF Ratings Reports are published weekly and can be delivered to your website via FTP in xml or pdf format.
Top Stock Lists
Sabrient publishes a variety of “top stock lists” from the Sabrient ranked universe. The lists can focus on virtually any market segments or special investing niches a client desires. Currently, we publish the following lists:
Investing Style and Market Cap
We publish Top 10 Lists on four market caps—Large, Mid, Small, and Micro—in each of three investing styles: Value, Growth and Momentum styles. We also publish a Top 10 All Caps list, which draws top-ranked stocks from all caps and styles.
Top 10 lists based on special strategies include:
- GARP: Stocks with “growth at a reasonable price.”
- Insider Buying: Stocks with the most insiders buying in the open market.
- Hidden Gems: Small- and micro-cap stocks with little or no analyst coverage and strong growth potential.
Risers & Divers
Risers and Divers are the top 5 stocks that have the most extraordinary changes in the fundamentals on a given day.
- Risers are stocks that have positive changes, i.e., beating current consensus estimates or analysts raising their earnings estimates.
- Divers are stocks that have negative changes, such as missing current consensus estimates or analysts lowering their earnings estimates.
Because we use a “bottom-up” approach in our quant analysis of ETFs and Sectors, we can offer the top-performing and bottom-performing stocks in more than 400 ETFs and 10 sectors.
