Sabrient Global Balanced Indices

The Sabrient Global Balanced Indices ("the Indices") were developed by Sabrient as a quantitative approach to selecting multiple asset classes through exchange-traded funds (ETFs). The Indices comprise a mixture of approximately 10-20 (or more) ETFs selected, based on investment and other criteria, from a defined set of exchange-traded funds trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
The objective of the Indices is to provide an appropriate mix of equity and fixed income exposure for seeking both capital appreciation and income in varying importance, based on the specific index, with the potential for the equity portion to outperform on a risk-adjusted basis the broad market benchmarks. Sabrient offers two Global Balanced Indices:
- The objective of the Balanced Income Index (SBRGBI) is to generate a high level of current income with long- term capital appreciation potential.
- The objective of the Balanced Growth Index (SBRGBG) is to balance current income and strong long-term capital appreciation potential, with a bias towards capital appreciation.
The Sabrient Global Balanced Indices are designed to identify a group of ETFs that together provide a balanced allocation to equities and fixed income within the following defined ranges of these asset classes:
| ASSET CLASS | SBRGBI | SBRGBG |
|---|---|---|
| Dividend-Focused Equities | 25-50% | 0-15% |
